New Oklahoma Law Requires Drivers To Stay In Right Lane

A new Oklahoma law requires drivers to stay in the right-hand lane of a mutli-lane road, unless passing another vehicle or turning.  Many Oklahoma drivers are not yet aware of the law and its consequences.  Those who fail to obey the law may be subject to a fine of $188.50.   The law is designed to keep drivers out of the left lane who could be clogging traffic and interferring with emergency vehicles.  House Bill 1368 went into effect on November first.
