Toxic Torts

Exposure to a dangerous toxin due to the negligence of another party falls under toxic tort law. These cases can be extremely complex and difficult. It must first be shown that the substance caused an injury, and then must show that the actions of the defendant lead to exposure that resulted in injury.

Examples of toxic substances that can cause injury or death include pesticides, chemicals, asbestos, toxic waste, nuclear radiation, medical product, and toxic substances at dangerous levels in food and drinking water. However, because injuries from toxins may take years to develop, and those who were exposed may take a long time to track down to gather information, the case can take much longer than typical injury cases.

If you have been exposed to a toxin that has made you sick, you may be entitled to compensation for pain and suffering, emotional distress, loss of income, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expenses, and more. To recover damages, you need an experienced toxic tort attorney.

If you live anywhere in the state of Oklahoma, and have suffered due to exposure from toxins you may be eligible to make a claim for damages. Give us a call for a free consultation with a lawyer.
