Tylenol has announced a recall for a number of its liquid medicines for infant and children, after discovering that Burkholderia cepacia (B. cepacia) was found in some of the ingredients used to make them.
B. Cepacia can cause pneumonia in people with weak immune systems, such as infants, children, and the elderly.
The specific Tylenol products subject to recall are as follows:
Children’s Tylenol Suspension; Children’s Tylenol Plus Cold / Allergy and Infant Tylenol Drops; Infant Tylenol Suspension; Children’s Tylenol Plus Cough and Runny Nose
Please keep in mind that this list is not exclusive, as there could be other Tylenol children’s medicines tainted by B. Cepacia. If your child has been taking any of Tylenol’s children’s medicines, discontinue use at once. If you have bought this product or have had a child injured by this product, we strongly encourage you to contact one of our Oklahoma personal injury attorneys as soon as possible.
