Pool and Patio Umbrellas Recalled Due to Injury Hazard – About 250 sold

Umbrosa umbrellas equipped with the Umbrosa Evolution Arm/Holder have been recalled before on October 25, 2018. May 27, 2021 recall is due to the hazard of the umbrella arm can break at the elbow while in use, posing an injury hazard.

The recalled umbrellas were sold in a variety of colors.  “Umbrosa” is printed on the arm/holder.  This recall also includes umbrellas, originally recalled in October 2018, and the replacement arm/holder parts that were provided as part of that recall.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled umbrellas and contact Umbrosa to receive a free replacement arm/holder.  Umbrosa is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Umbrosa has received five reports of the umbrellas breaking at the elbow.  No injuries have been reported.

The umbrellas were sold at ShadeScapes showroom in Hotchkiss, Colorado, and through ShadeScapes dealers and other design professionals and resellers nationwide from July 2018 through February 2020 for between $1,800 and $7,600.

Trek Recalls Bontrager Satellite City Bicycle Pedals Due to Fall and Injury Hazards – Over 316,500 sold

This recall involves Bontrager Satellite City Pedals, which were installed as original equipment on Trek “Allant+,” “Dual Sport+,” “FX 2,” “FX 3,” “Verve 2,” “Verve 3,” and “Verve+” model bicycles.   “ZTR02” is stamped on the bicycle’s pedal and on the pedals that were sold separately as a replacement part.  The pedals have orange reflectors on the outside edges.

Trek has received 132 reports of the recalled pedals loosening, locking up or falling off, including seven reports of riders falling and experiencing injuries, including scrapes, bruises and road rash.

Consumers should immediately stop using bicycles equipped with the recalled pedals and contact their local authorized Trek retailer for instructions on receiving free installation of replacement pedals.

These pedals were sold at Trek Bicycle stores and other bicycle stores nationwide, and online at trekbikes.com from January 2018 through April 2021 for between $600 and $6,000.  The pedals were also sold separately for about $30.

Target Recalls Shower Stools Due to Fall Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Target

This recall involves Target’s Room Essentials Shower Stools.  The white shower stools measure 18 inches tall and have a three-legged aluminum frame and a plastic curved seat.  The Room Essentials logo and item number 064-20-1091 are printed on the front of the product’s hangtag.

Consumers should stop using the recalled shower stools immediately and return the shower stools to any Target store or contact Target for a full refund.

Target has received 12 reports of consumers falling off the recalled shower stools, including four reports of bruises, bumps and scratches, and one report of an arm sprain.

Sold by Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com from March 2019 through September 2020 for about $35.
