Michael Thelen joined Carr & Carr after relocating to the Tulsa area in 2021. Prior to joining the firm, Michael had experience representing a wide array of clients, ranging from individuals to Fortune 500 companies. Michael enjoys working with individual clients and helping them navigate the challenges that exist with dealing with insurance companies of all sizes. Through experience, Michael believes the best way to approach a case is with constant communication and full transparency with clients. Michael has advocated for hundreds of clients against insurers in cases involving motor vehicle collisions, premises, dog bites, life insurance disputes, and many other types of injuries.
Michael was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, by attorney parents. Michael attended Creighton University in Omaha, graduating with a degree in Financial Analysis, followed by receiving a law degree at Creighton as well. After law school, Michael moved to Chicago, where he worked for a bankruptcy start-up, in management at a legal services consulting firm, and finally for a boutique law firm that represented insurance companies involved in complex corporate bankruptcy proceedings filed by their insureds.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys exploring new places, playing golf, cheering on the Creighton Bluejays, and spending time with his wife, Renée, and their son, Clark.
